Addiction to electronic devices and social media has become one of the most widespread and common forms of addiction in our time. It manifests itself in compulsive use of phones, social media, video games or digital platforms, often to the detriment of psychological and physical health, social relationships and emotional balance.

Contrary to popular belief, this addiction is not a matter of lack of willpower. It is often rooted in deep psychological mechanisms: emotional escape, need for recognition, anxiety, inner emptiness, difficulty in confronting oneself or reality. It is a vicious circle: social isolation causes addiction, and addiction reinforces isolation.

The support offered is based on self-study (Svadhyaya) as well as specific yoga postures and breathing techniques. This introspective approach helps to understand the causes of addiction and has a positive and profound impact on consciousness. The work aims to restore a more conscious, in particular with the use electronic devices.

Workshop objectives

The aim of this support is to enable the person to:

  • Understand the psychological and emotional mechanisms behind addiction
  • Gradually reduce compulsive use of digital devices and social media
  • Regain the ability to concentrate, be grounded in reality and feel inner calm
  • Develop lasting psychological autonomy in the age of digital devices
  • Prevent other addictions (alcohol, drugs, unhealthy eating, etc.) that go hand in hand with digital addiction

The aim is not to completely eliminate all digital devices of one’s life, but to consciously reclaim their use, in line with the individual’s real needs.
