Professional exhaustion, often referred to as Occupational Burnout, is a state of physical, emotional and mental fatigue resulting from prolonged work-related stress, excessive demands or a lack of sufficient recognition for the effort invested.
This syndrome can manifest itself in intense fatigue, profound demotivation, loss of efficiency at work, sleep disorders, emotional tension or a feeling of inner emptiness.
The support offered is based on Svadhyaya (self-study), which encourages understanding of the psychological mechanisms (emotional, cognitive, energetic) that predispose people to exhaustion. This introspective approach, combined with physical and breathing practices, aims to restore mental balance, inner clarity and a more conscious relationship with work and personal life.
Workshop objectives
This support aims to enable the person being supported to:
- Identify the psychological as well as external factors leading to Occupational Burnout
- Highlight psychological tendencies towards over-investment, perfectionism or chronic stress
- Restore the ability to concentrate, mental clarity and self-awareness
- Gradually reduce the emotional and physical manifestations of burnout
- Reinstate a sense of personal effectiveness and satisfaction in their professional life
- Develop strategies for prevention and psychological autonomy towards stress
The aim is not only to manage the symptoms, but to transform the root causes by recognising and changing the patterns that lead to exhaustion.
Target audience
This support is aimed at the following audiences:
- People experiencing Occupational Burnout (respectively professional exhaustion), who want to understand the destructive dynamics at work and develop sustainable resources for recovery.
- People exposed to chronic professional stress or exhaustion who want to prevent Occupational Burnout to become a permanent issue.
- Companies and organisations that aim to prevent professional exhaustion of their employees within their teams.
For yoga professionals interested in this topic, we recommend our Svadyaya training (self-study), designed specifically to enable them to integrate this approach into a structured, ethical framework adapted to their professional practice.
How it works
The workshop usually takes place in a group setting, in a confidential, safe and respectful environment:
A preliminary telephone conversation allows us to determine the most appropriate format for the situation: individual or group sessions (e.g. for companies).
Each session may include:
- A time for discussion and listening
- Self-study (Svadhyaya)
- Identifying stress response patterns
- Breathing exercises (pranayama)
- Yoga postures (asanas) adapted to relaxation, emotional release and energy regeneration
- Thorough strategies to integrate into professional and personal life
The work is progressive, focused on reclaiming physical and mental awareness, and aims for lasting transformation without external pressure.
